I believe that the quote attributed to Hippocrates, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food” is truer now than it was some 2000 years ago. As a holistic nutritionist I teach people how food can help solve, as well as be contributing to, their ills.
As a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® Practitioner (FDN-P), my role is to educate clients on how they can heal themselves through diet, rest, exercise, stress management, and supplements. I want them to understand that they can heal the underlying causes of their symptoms rather than just treating them.
Alan is a Certified Gluten Practitioner (CGP). As a CPG I am interested in helping clients who are suffering with gluten-related and autoimmune disorders. My program with help you understand the foundation of gluten related and autoimmune disorders, how to be properly tested and assessed for them and most importantly, what type of support you may need.
Alan is Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition ® (Cand.) by the National Association of Nutrition Professionals. The NANP is a non-profit business league representing and advocating on behalf of holistically trained food and nutrition professionals. NANP members are nutrition professionals working in a variety of settings who are recognized for their knowledge and expertise in the area of whole foods nutrition and the safe and effective use of dietary supplements.
